Anthony Mackie, who starred in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and David Harbour, who starred in Stranger Things, are set to star opposite Tig Notaro and Jennifer Coolidge from Army of the Dead.
Christopher Landon, the director behind the Happy Death Day, its sequel Happy Death Day 2U and the slasher comedy Freaky, which starred Vince Vaughn, will direct the picture from his own screenplay. The feature film also stars Erica Ash (Survivor’s Remorse, Uncle Drew), Isabella Russo (School of Rock the Musical, Crashing), Niles Fitch (This Is Us), Faith Ford (Murphy Brown, Hope & Faith), and Steve Coulter (Shotgun Wedding, The Conjuring).
According to Netflix, the project is based on Geoff Manaugh’s short story Ernest. ‘We Have A Ghost’ follows Kevin, a man who moves into a new house and discovers a ghost named Ernest. As a result, Kevin and his family become overnight social media sensations. When Kevin joins Ernest in his quest to solve the mystery of his past, the two become CIA targets.
WME and Peikoff Mahan represent David Harbour, while UTA and Inspire Entertainment represent Anthony Mackie.
For the streaming service, Anthony Mackie recently appeared in the psychological thriller The Woman in the Window and the sci-fi action film Outside the Wire. He was most recently seen on the small screen in Amazon’s anthology series Solos, but he’s best recognized for his part as Sam Wilson (AKA Falcon and, now, Captain America) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which he performed in the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Meanwhile, David Harbour is most recognized for his role as Detective Hopper in Netflix’s popular series Stranger Things, which he will reprise in season 4 of the show. He’s also a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having joined the franchise for the most recent film, Black Widow. Along with Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, and Rachel Weisz, he played Alexei Shostakov (AKA Red Guardian).
