Antonio banderas and mark wahlberg are also among the cast of the movie
The Uncharted movie, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, has released its first trailer. The trailer shows the movie has set pieces that appear eerily similar to scenes from the gaming series. In the trailer, a teenage Nathan Drake works as a bartender before meeting Mark Wahlberg’s Sully and embarking on an adventure together.
Nathan’s brother Sam, whom players first met in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, is also mentioned. The opponent is Antonio Banderas’ character, a competing treasure seeker with a lot more resources than he appears to have.

There are also some moments that appear to be inspired by the games, such as a stranded pirate ship and the Uncharted 3 sequence in which Drake is dragged behind a cargo plane. Payers will remember musical cues and particular artifacts from the games as well.

The trailer also attempts to resolve the age-old question of whether Mark Wahlberg’s Sully will sport a moustache – the answer appears to be no, at least not at first. The film will be distributed in theaters only on February 18, rather than being streamed on a day-and-date basis.
Director Ruben Fleischer’s mission for the film, according to Uncharted 4 co-director Neil Druckmann, was to make it “for both hardcore fans of the game and those who are not yet familiar with the franchise,” and he believes “both will be equally entertained by this incredibly fun and action-packed film.”

Following a tumultuous pre-production period that saw numerous directors drop out, Uncharted hired Venom director Ruben Fleischer and began filming last year. We’d only seen photos of the movie up until now, and several early reports of teaser shots pointed out similarities to game setpieces.
The film will ostensibly be an origin narrative, detailing why Tom Holland was cast as Nathan Drake at such a young age, while Mark Wahlberg will play his mentor Sully. Tati Gabrielle, Antonio Banderas, and Sophia Ali are also scheduled to appear.
