The fourth season of “The Witcher” on Netflix won’t have Henry Cavill as the lead.

The fantasy show ‘The Witcher’ will return without Cavill, the streaming juggernaut tweeted on Saturday. Liam Hemsworth will take over the starring role as Geralt of Rivia, a mutant monster hunter for hire, for Season 4 once the third season premieres.

Hemsworth is “amazing,” Cavill said in a message posted to social media, adding that he is “passing the mantle” to the Australian actor. For Season 4, Cavill announced on Instagram that he will be laying down his medallion and his swords. “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures,” he said.

Hemsworth responded with a statement of his own on Instagram, adding that he’s “glad that [Cavill] is handing me the keys.” Hemsworth is most known for playing Gale Hawthorne in “The Hunger Games” series.

As a Witcher fan, Hemsworth said in the post: “I’m over the moon about the chance to play Geralt of Rivia. I’m honored that Henry Cavill is giving me the reins and enabling me to pick up the White Wolf’s blades for the following chapter of Geralt’s story since he has been a fantastic Geralt.
