In a thrilling final in Melbourne, England defeated Pakistan by five wickets to win the Men’s T20 World Cup and claim their second consecutive world championship.
In the midst of explosive quick bowling, they dropped to 45-3 and 84-4 after scoring 138 in front of a boisterous Pakistan-supporting crowd in this T20 final. Ben Stokes, though, further cemented his place in England mythology by scoring 52 unbeaten under extreme duress at the storied Melbourne Cricket Ground.
When he did in the 2019 50-over World Cup final, he was present at the conclusion as this current white-ball team gave English cricket one of its greatest victories.
Stokes took advantage of a terrible injury to Pakistan’s left-armer Shaheen Afridi as the situation tightened and led England to victory with six balls remaining.

Following his famous knock in the 2019 Ashes Test at Headingley, Stokes yelled as he sped away after scoring the winning runs. His teammates quickly surrounded him before sprinting to celebrate in front of the few England supporters present in this enormous crowd of 80,462.
Jos Butler, the captain of England, stated to BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra: “Evidently, it hasn’t even begun to sink in. What a fantastic effort was made by everyone to win the game. I’m a little tongue-tied.
“Compared to 2019, it feels really different. It was a different period of time, location, and group. I simply feel incredibly proud. Both are simply amazing.”

Sam Curran has performed throughout the competition, and Adil Rashid has shown up when it has counted most. I’ve never seen him bowl for England in a T20 better than that.
Despite the challenging playing surface, England appeared to be strong favorites when their bowling prowess held Pakistan to a score of 137-8. Finals are seldom simple, though, as England is aware. That was demonstrated by their Lord’s experience in 2019.
The fans exploded as early wickets went in the chase since Pakistan has the strongest pace attack in the world.
