Pushpa: The Rise Box Office, surpasses Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion, 3 Idiots and Tiger Zinda Hai
Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1, Allu Arjun starrer has been doing well since its release in December last year. After emerging as a dark horse at the box office, the film’s box office performance has astounded almost everyone. Pushpa is now in its sixth week and is still going strong.
Pushpa has become the third highest-grossing sixth-week film of all time. The amount collected was Rs. 6.17 crore.
While the film’s box office performance does not match that of previous releases such as Uri: The Surgical Strike (Rs. 11.55 crore) and Padmaavat (Rs. 6.98 crore), it does outperform Badhaai Ho (Rs. 5.95 crore), Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion (Rs. 5.35 crore), Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior (Rs. 5.08 crore), Bahubali – The Beginning (Rs. 4.75 crore, Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots (Rs. 4.12 crore), Kabir Singh (Rs. 2.71 crore), and Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai (Rs. 2.63 crore).
With total earnings currently at Rs. 97.98 crore, it is believed that Pushpa: The Rise would surpass the Rs. 100 crore milestone in the coming days.
It made the most of the Republic Day holiday, and despite playing on a restricted number of screens, particularly in the interiors, it attracted a large number of viewers.
