kathmandu : Opener Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav shone as Mumbai Indians pulled off a stunning victory in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Punjab Kings.

Chasing a target of 214 runs, Mumbai lost four wickets for just four runs before Kishan and Yadav came together to add 116 runs for the fifth wicket. Kishan smashed 75 runs off just 41 balls, including seven fours and four sixes, while Yadav scored 66 runs off 31 balls, hitting eight fours and two sixes.Despite losing a couple of wickets towards the end, Mumbai managed to cross the finish line with seven balls to spare, winning the match by six wickets.

Captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a duck in the match. Cameron Green hit 23 runs off 18 balls with four fours, while Tilak Verma and Tim David contributed 26 and 19 runs respectively to the team’s total.

In the bowling department, Nathan Ellis of Punjab took two wickets, while Rishi Dhawan and Arshdeep Singh took one wicket each.Playing at their home ground at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Indians lost the toss and were asked to field first. Punjab Kings made 214 runs for the loss of three wickets in their innings.

Liam Livingstone scored 82 runs off 42 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes for Punjab. Jitender Sharma contributed 49 runs off 27 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes.Captain Shikhar Dhawan scored 30 runs off 20 balls with 5 fours for Delhi, while Marcus Stoinis made 27 runs off 26 balls with 2 fours and 1 six.

On the bowling side, Piyush Chawla and Arshdeep Khan took one wicket each for Mumbai.With this win, Mumbai climbed up to the fourth spot in the points table while Punjab occupies the seventh spot.
