Kathmandu :  Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has suspended Argentine football star Lionel Messi for two weeks. He was suspended as the club did not give permission for his trip to Saudi Arabia, where he faced legal action. According to international media reports, Messi will miss two PSG games during his suspension. A decision on the matter can be made after the end of the season. Messi has been awaiting a renewal of his contract with PSG and the action taken against him occurred during this time.

During his suspension, Messi will not be allowed to participate in training with the club and will not receive payment for this period. According to news agency reports, Messi had requested permission to travel to Saudi Arabia, but the club denied his request.

However, Messi did participate in a tourism promotion program in Saudi Arabia. He became the official brand ambassador for the Saudi Arabia Tourism Board.
