Boxing legend Mike Tyson’s debut in Bollywood
Mike Tyson to be introduced in the Indian Cinema in a movie ‘Liger,’ a pan-Indian film directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar, stars Vijay Deverakonda.
On Monday, Karan Johar said that the former professional boxer, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all time, will star with Vijay Devrakonda and Ananya Panday in their next film ‘Liger.’

In the pan-Indian film Liger, which has the tagline “Saala Crossbreed,” actor Vijay Deverakonda plays a boxer. According to a statement from the production unit, “the film that chronicles the story of a mixed martial arts person will feature ‘Iron Mike’ in a large and mighty part.”
Vijay, who was visibly overjoyed, resorted to his Twitter account to share the video, writing, “We promised you Madness! We are just getting started… For the first time on Indian Screens. Joining our mass spectacle – #LIGER. The Baddest Man on the Planet. The God of Boxing. The Legend, the Beast, the Greatest of all Time! IRON MIKE TYSON.”
The film Liger is currently being shot in Goa. Ananya Pandey plays the female lead in this Telugu film directed by Puri Jagannadh and co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Charmme Kaur. Liger stars Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy and is being produced in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
