Morbius, the oft-delayed and long-awaited movie
The final trailer for Morbius, the upcoming film that will introduce the Living Vampire to the big screen, was recently released by Sony. The final trailer expanded on some of Michael Morbius’ most violent moments as a genetically engineered vampire and his metamorphosis from awkward scientist to formidable antihero, in addition to events hinted by previously released snippets.

The story follows the titular scientist-turned-vampire, who sets out to find a treatment for a rare blood disorder. The doctor is infected by a sort of vampirism as a result of his experiments with vampire bats and the cure, which grants him exceptional skills and a hunger for blood, both of which are depicted in the trailer.
In addition to Jared Leto, the picture stars Tyrese Gibson as FBI agent Simon Stroud and Matt Smith as Milo, who is purportedly based on the comic book antagonist Hunger, a fellow Living Vampire. Milo and Morbius will be introduced as childhood pals, according to Sony. “Morbius gave him his name,” the business added.
Morbius dubbed the boy Milo when they met as children, despite the fact that he was born with the same blood condition as Morbius. Their common illness resulted in a lifetime relationship as brothers. Aside from Morbius’ first live-action appearance, the next film appears to be connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That much was hinted to in one of Morbius’ trailers, when actor Michael Keaton appeared, seemingly reprising his role as Adrian Toomes, commonly known as the Vulture, from Spider-Man: Homecoming. While this may have seemed far-fetched in the past, Spider-Man: No Way Home’s post-credits scene proved that Sony’s villain franchise was related to the MCU, with Tom Hardy reprising his role as Eddie Brock/Venom.
However, since the reality rift was closed and Doctor Strange returned everyone to their respective realities, it’s unclear how closely the characters from Sony’s films and the MCU will interact in the future.
