According to the latest source, Manchester City will try to complete a deal for Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, with the two parties having reached a “100% agreement.”
City are on the verge of signing Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and former Manchester United attacker, after failing to secure their top target Harry Kane just a few days ago. On Thursday night, a flurry of rumours stated that the 36-year-old will make a spectacular move to the reigning Premier League Champions, with journalist Alfredo Pedulla saying that Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester City have reached a “complete agreement.”

According to the journalist, a ‘conference call’ was held between Ronaldo’s super agent, Jorge Mendes, and Manchester City officials in order to have the move approved. Many speculated that the possibility of a transfer cost would be a stumbling block in discussions, but Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Manchester City will make a €30 million offer on Friday, which the Serie A giants will accept, according to the Sky Italia journalist.
Ronaldo joined Juventus for €112 million in 2018 after having 31 direct goal involvements in 33 Serie A games the previous season. According to Di Marzio, the Portuguese forward, who spent several years at Manchester United, has already cleared his locker at Juventus and will say goodbye to his teammates on Friday.
Although Ronaldo is alleged to have told Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri that he will not play for the Italian club again, a transfer is unlikely to be finalised in time for Manchester City’s Premier League encounter against Arsenal on Saturday. After been paired with PSG in the Champions League group stages, Manchester City can look forward to reigniting the rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi if they finalize the signing of the 36-year-old.
According to ESPN, Cristiano Ronaldo spoke with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola over the phone about a prospective transfer.

Guardiola’s not 100% sure how he’ll fit in with the squad but he’d rather have Ronaldo than no striker.
