Laal Singh Chaddha: It took 14 years to make the film, says Aamir Khan

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan revealed that it took him 14 years to complete his upcoming movie, “Laal Singh Chaddha,” which is a remake of the classic “Forrest Gump” by Tom Hanks.

Yes, it took a while, replied Khan. The exact number is 14, but it took about 8 to 9 years to get the rights. I’m a little anxious and excited right now because we know we made a wonderful movie, which makes me more anxious about how well it will be received.

Laal Singh Chaddha will shortly include Kareena Kapoor Khan. Aamir Khan plays the title character in the movie, which is an authorized adaptation of Forrest Gump. It will debut on August 11 and is helmed by Advait Chandan.
