Kathmandu : A Simrik Air’s ‘9N-AJJET’ helicopter crashed on Friday in Siprung of Ward No. 4 in Bhotechaur rural municipality
. One person died while four were injured in the accident that occurred during the process of carrying hydro power equipment. The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has informed that it was due to a helicopter crash while carrying equipment to collect items for hydro power.
Since the Lukla Manang Air crash on April 14, 2020, there had not been any helicopter accidents for a long time, but three helicopter accidents have occurred in just one month. On March 25, 2079 BS, there was a helicopter accident of Air Dynasty at HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu.
The helicopter crashed during landing at the helipad on the roof of the hospital, damaging the tail rotor blade. On March 26, near Dhulagiri base camp, there was a helicopter accident of Everest Air. There were no human casualties in the helicopter accident that was carrying cargo.
