In the first trailer, Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld are fling a lot of arrows.
The new Hawkeye series, coming on Disney Plus this November, has a world-weary mentor and his obnoxious protégée. On Monday, the first trailer for the Marvel Studios program, which stars Jeremy Renner as skilled archer Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld as new character Kate Bishop, was released.

That mentor-protégée connection is always endearing, and the new series will undoubtedly deliver lots of chuckles. Hawkeye witnesses Kate Bishop, aka Clint Barton’s number one fan, wreaking havoc on the expert marksman’s life. In addition to guiding the young archer, Barton will address his violent murderer alter ego Ronin, who was first seen in Avengers: Endgame.

If you watched the Black Widow end-credits scene, you’ll know that Florence Pugh’s scene stealer Yelena Belova will appear in the series, as an assassin on the hunt for Barton for his role in the assassination of her sister-figure Natasha Romanoff. Vera Farmiga, Fra Free, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and Alaqua Cox round out the Hawkeye cast.
