Ghanshyam Nayak of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, who for years amused everyone as Nattu Kaka, died today (October 3).

The veteran actor, Ghanshyam Nayak, who was battling illness and was undergoing chemotherapy, passed away today, according to ETimes TV. His show’s entire cast and staff are devastated and scared. At 5:30 p.m., the veteran actor died. He was 76 years old at the time.
He went on to say, “He was a gem, and he was the one that was closest to me. He tried his hardest to work with us again, but his health prevented him. I am heartbroken that he is no longer among us.” Ghanshyam Nayak, also known as Nattu Kaka, was a close friend of Dilip Joshi. He had the most moments in the show alongside Bagga (Tanmay Vekeria) and Dilip Joshi, who worked at Gada Electronics.
Speaking of his health, the actor last spoke to us in June, when he expressed his excitement to return to the sets, saying, “I am perfectly fine and in good health. There isn’t a major problem. On reality, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans will see me in an episode tomorrow. It’s a unique episode, and I’m hoping they’ll enjoy my work once more.”
“The treatment is on, and I hope I will be all right,” he stated in the same interview on his treatment. It’s fine; I’m undergoing therapy, and after tomorrow’s episode, I’m hoping to resume shooting in Mumbai and return to work. I’m looking forward to returning to work. Chemotherapy is something I go through once a month. The doctor has told me that I am fit to work and that I would have no problems.

“We just got to know about the news and it is terribly sorry we have lost him,” Jennifer Mistry, who plays Roshan Kaur Sodhi, told ETimes TV when contacted by ETimes TV. “I got the news first since his kid contacted me at 5:45 pm,” Tanmay Vekeria, who plays Bagga, added. His condition hasn’t improved since he was hospitalized a few months ago. At 5:30 p.m. today, he died away.
I just want to share happiness and let everyone know that I am OK. I’m in good shape and can shoot. Whatever news is circulating is outdated, and I want to assure everyone that I am fine now. I am certain that I will live for another 100 years and that nothing will happen to me. I am a happy, upbeat person who never gets down or depressed in life. I want to work till my last breath, and I want to die with my make-up on. “All I want is for God to grant my dream,” the actor stated. “Says” “We just found out, and it’s quite sad that we’ve lost him.”
