The date for Legend’s El Clasico has been confirmed. On July 20th, at 7.30 p.m. CEST, Barcelona legends will face Real Madrid legends. Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv, Israel, will host the match.

This will be the first legends match since the COVID-19 pandemic erupted last year. Albert Ferrer will oversee Barcelona‘s squad for the Legend’s El Clasico, which has already been revealed. The final two Barça Legends matches before the lockout took place in Colombia, on March 1, 2020, at the Estadio Pascual Guerrero in Cali against former Deportivo and America de Cali players, and on March 5, 2020, at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho in Bogota against the Colombia Legends. In the 2019/20 season, the squad competed in a four-team tournament in Sao Paolo on December 15, 2019, which included Sao Paolo, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, is yet to name their legends squad for the match. Luis Figo, David Beckham, Clarence Seedorf, Raul Gonzalez, and Emilio Butragueno have all taken the field for Real Madrid in past legends’ matches. As a result, we may expect a star-studded lineup once again.

The game is being played in Israel to coincide with the opening of the global ‘Barça, The Exhibition,’ which will open in Tel Aviv in July and run through August, and will take visitors on a journey through Barça history through interactive experiences such as the chance to watch a game at Camp Nou using cutting-edge immersive technology.
Who are the legends of Barça?
The Barça Legends are the outcome of a campaign run by FC Barcelona to honor the outstanding players who have donned the club’s famed colors over the years. Its goal is to help former Barça players promote the club’s identity and values around the world while also allowing them to continue playing for the team when they retire as professionals. The goal is to play games and hold simultaneous events in various locations throughout the world.
