Celebrities Pay Last Respects at Legendary Actor’s Mumbai Home.
Dilip Kumar Passes Away at the Age of 98. On Wednesday, Indian film legend Dilip Kumar died in Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital. He was 98 years old at the time. Uddhav Thackeray, Maharashtra’s chief minister, and a slew of Bollywood stars, including Vidya Balan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra, have paid their tributes at the iconic actor’s Bandra home.
Around 5 p.m., Dilip Kumar’s final rites will be performed at the Juhu Muslim Cemetery in Santacruz West. The actor will be laid to rest with full state honors.

Dilip Kumar, dubbed the “tragedy king” by generations of moviegoers, was rushed to the hospital on June 30 after complaining of breathing problems. On Twitter, his family friend Faisal Farooqui announced the actor’s death. “It is with with sadness that I announce the demise of our beloved Dilip Saab, who passed away just a few minutes ago.
He leaves behind a six-decade cinematic history that includes some of Hindi cinema’s most lasting classics.
“We are from God, and we return to Him,” Farooqui said on Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter account.
On June 6, Dilip Kumar was brought to the hospital and placed on oxygen support while remaining stable. This was revealed in a tweet from the actor’s Twitter account: “Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards.” Saab is stable. Thank you so much for your sincere duas and prayers. He should be home in 2-3 days, according to the doctors.” Dilip Kumar was released on June 11th.
Last year, the actor lost both of his brothers to Covid-19 in the span of two weeks. Dilip, on the other hand, had been kept in the dark about their deaths. Saira Banu, his wife, survives him.
