Kathmandu :  English club Manchester City defeated former champions Real Madrid 4-0 and secured a place in the final of the UEFA Champions League.

In the second leg of the semifinals held at City’s home ground, Etihad Stadium, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, City emerged as the winners with a comprehensive 5-1 aggregate score. Bernardo Silva scored in the 23rd and 37th minutes of the game. Despite Real’s efforts to come back in the second half, they couldn’t succeed. Riyad Mahrez scored in the 76th minute, and substitute player Julian Alberje scored during injury time.

With this victory, City will face Italian club Inter Milan in the final. The final will take place on July 11 at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

Inter reached the final of the Champions League after defeating AC Milan in the semifinals, marking their first appearance in the final in 13 years. This is the second time City has reached the final, with their previous appearance in 2021 ending in defeat against Chelsea.
