Kathmandu : Constituent Assembly Member Purushottam Basnet has passed away. Basnet, who was also a Nepali Congress leader, died this morning at the age of 78.
He had been residing in Kathmandu. Born on December 5, 2002, in Likhu Rural Municipality, Ward No. 3, Solukhumbu, Basnet was actively involved in the politics of the Nepali Congress for a long time.
He was a central member of the party. Basnet had obtained his MA and LLB degrees from Tribhuvan University. He had also served as the Executive Chairman of the Gorakhapatra Corporation.
