Kathmandu: Manchester City, who have been crowned the champions of the Premier League, celebrated their title by defeating Chelsea 1-0 at home on Monday night.
With Arsenal’s defeat against Nottingham Forest in the second position, City had already secured the title three games ago. This is City’s fifth Premier League title in the last six seasons and their third consecutive league victory.
Julian Alvaraz scored the only goal for City against Chelsea at their home ground, Etihad Stadium. The players and supporters of City celebrated the victory after the match.
City’s goal for this season is to win the treble. They will play the FA Cup final against Manchester United on June 3. They will also face Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10.
