Black Adam, starring dwayne johnson, trailer has been released
In the new trailer for DC’s huge superhero picture, Black Adam, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Black Adam is pitted against members of the JSA. There was no doubt that this film would be awesome based on the photos, teaser trailers, and posters that have been revealed over the previous few months, but this trailer demonstrated that Johnson is bringing the heavy-hitting blows with this fan-favorite anti-hero.
With Aldis Hodge as the courageous Hawkman, Pierce Brosnan as the suavely gorgeous silver fox Dr. Fate, and Quintessa Swindell and Noah Centineo as the junior members of the Justice Society, Cyclone and Atom Smasher, respectively, the aforementioned JSA are making their silver screen premiere.
The trailer gives us a longer look at what was seen in the last teaser trailer, enabling us to see Hodge in his full glory as Carter Hall’s alter ego Hawkman, as well as a better look at how the JSA works as a team.
Sarah Shahi has also been cast in the role of Adrianna Tomaz, Black Adam’s main love interest in the comics and the woman who is given abilities by the Isis amulet, allowing her to control natural forces. James Cusati-Moyer and Marwan Kenzari have both been cast in Black Adam, though their roles are currently unknown. It’s probable that Cusati-Moyer could play Adrianna’s brother Amon, and Kenzari will play another villain for Black Adam and the JSA to face.
Black Adam was directed by Jaume-Collet Serra, who previously worked with Johnson on his Disney film Jungle Cruise. It was written by Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani.
Johnson served as an executive producer on the picture alongside Walter Hamada, Eric McLeod, and Scott Sheldon, in addition to playing the titular Black Adam.
Serra’s Black Adam is expected to be even more savage than his family-friendly Disney film. He’s labeled Black Adam the “Dirty Harry of superheroes” before. Johnson goes on to say that the world needs more people who exist in the grey space between black and white, which appears to be where Johnson’s Black Adam resides.
