After leaving Barcelona, Lionel Messi has signed a two-year contract with Paris St-Germain starting a new beginning.

“I’m looking forward to starting a new beginning of a chapter in my career in Paris. The club’s mission and objectives are perfectly aligned with my goals “Argentina’s star stated.

“I’m well aware of the players’ and staff’s abilities. I’m committed to work with them to create something special for the club and the supporters. I’m looking forward to walking onto the Parc des Princes pitch.”
During his tenure at PSG, Messi is anticipated to earn between €30 million and €35 million (£25 million and £30 million/$35 million and $41 million), plus team and individual bonuses. Messi did have offers from two other clubs, but PSG was always his preferred decision. According to reports, Atletico Madrid was one of the clubs interested in signing him, and he was also linked with Manchester City and Inter.

Everything appears to be in place for Messi to join the Ligue 1 club, following in the footsteps of Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, and Georginio Wijnaldum, who all joined this summer. Messi departs Barcelona as not simply one of the greatest players in the club’s history, but also probably the greatest player in history.
