Amber heard has fired her pr team days before defamation trial

According to a new story, Amber Heard sacked her PR firm and hired a new one after being agitated by a week of “poor news” during a stunning defamation trial launched by ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Precision Strategies was Heard’s agent, but she abruptly dropped them in favor of Shane Communications, a consultancy firm based in Los Angeles. She made the decision in the apparent intention of receiving more favorable coverage this week, when she is slated to take the stand and testify.

Amber Heard fires PR team following bad headlines

The New York Post, which broke the story first, quoted an unnamed insider as saying, “Amber Heard doesn’t like bad headlines.” Heard, 36, is “frustrated with her tale not being told correctly,” according to a source who spoke to the publication. Depp, 58, has claimed he was the victim of domestic abuse during his four days of testimony in Virginia, which began on April 11 and is expected to last another three weeks.

His bodyguard even described in detail the wounds on the actor’s face allegedly sustained during a confrontation with Heard on Thursday.

After a 2018 Washington Post article in which she described herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse” without naming her ex-husband, the Pirates of the Caribbean star is suing Heard for $50 million, claiming she defamed him and destroyed his career. Heard has filed a countersuit for $100 million, and after three weeks of sitting calmly in the courtroom during Depp’s evidence, she is poised to retaliate as soon as Wednesday.

The PR company change came after many days of court testimony from Depp witnesses, during which the social media mob turned against Heard. Heard’s reputation as a philanthropist was shattered when it was revealed that she had not donated her $3.5 million divorce settlement to charity, as she had publicly stated.
