Alia Bhatt has signed with William Morris Endeavour (WME), an international talent agency that handles Hollywood stars such as Gal Gadot, Emma Stone, and Charlize Theron.
Alia Bhatt, one of Bollywood’s top movie stars, has signed with WME in all areas as she seeks possibilities in the United States. Her credits include the film Gully Boy, which was India’s submission for the 2020 Oscar race.
In a career that began as a child actor, Bhatt, the daughter of Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan, has received four FilmFare Awards (which award the best in Hindi-language movies). She just won her third Best Actress award for her role as an up-and-coming rapper’s girlfriend in Gully Boy (played by Ranveer Singh).
Since 2014, she has been a part of Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list, and in 2017, she was included in Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 list.
Bhatt will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, which is set to hit theaters later this year. She’s also been in the headlines recently because Darlings, a dark comedy in which Bhatt co-stars and produces through her Eternal Sunshine Productions label, is currently in production (also producing is Shah Rukh Khan).
Alia will also star opposite Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Bhumi Pednekar in Karan Johar’s ambitious project Takht. Alia has RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, who is best known for Baahubali. Ajay Devgn, Ram Charan, and Jr NTR also star in the film. In the film, Alia plays the role of Sita.
Bhatt, who has 53 million Instagram followers, is the face of several prominent brand ads, including Tresemmé, Lays, and Phillips, in addition to acting and producing. She is also an outspoken environmentalist who founded the Edamama children’s apparel line.
