Bellbottom, an action comedy starring Akshay Kumar, was released in Indian theaters a few days ago.

Due to censorship concerns, the film was released a day later in the United Arab Emirates’ overseas territories. Initially, it was reported that the film had been prohibited in the UAE, however the local censor board authorized the picture, allowing it to be released. Bellbottom, starring Akshay Kumar, received positive reviews upon its release. However, with the Covid-19 limits still in force, cinema attendance was impacted. Bellbottom, on the other hand, has started off well in the international markets.

In terms of numbers, they are predicted to increase by 10% on Sunday, August 22. The three-day total is at Rs. 8.35 crore. The clear picture will be determined by the important Monday statistics. Footfalls are being aided by word of mouth. In the meantime, the majority of state governments are debating whether or not to lift the lockdown limitations. Sunday’s curfew restrictions have also been relaxed by the Uttar Pradesh administration. Due to the restriction of a night curfew, cinema halls will now be allowed to operate on Sundays with the last show ending by 10 p.m.

Day 4 should see an increase in footfall and collections. Cinemas in the state of Tamil Nadu have been given permission to reopen at 50% capacity as of Monday, August 23. From August 23, the Delhi government has allowed theatres to show films at night.

  • PVR – Rs. 78 lakhs
  • INOX – Rs. 46 lakhs
  • Cinepolis – Rs. 35 lakhs
  • Total – 1.59 cr.

A trade source told Bollywood Hungama that the film could be released digitally in a few weeks during a recent meeting. “After four weeks from its theatrical debut, the creators of Bell Bottom and Akshay Kumar have the option of releasing the film on the digital platform,” the source stated. Bell Bottom has already been acquired by Amazon Prime Video, which will premiere the picture on their OTT streaming platform.”
