Dhading : A customer stabbed to death in a hotel located near Nibuwatar Bottema in Galchi-8, Galchi Municipality. On Wednesday, Vinod Thapamagar, a 27-year-old resident of Katapauwa in Galchi-8, was killed by stabbing by Neeraj Pandit, a 28-year-old operator of ‘Sanadar Hotel’ situated in Nibuwatar Bottema.
The information was provided by Inspector Dharma Jit Thapa, a spokesperson for the District Police Office, who informed that the suspect was arrested overnight. It has been reported that an altercation occurred between both parties regarding the payment after consuming food at the hotel.
The dispute arose over the remaining amount to be returned after paying for the meal, as stated by the police. Following the incident, Pandit fled the scene. Thapamagar was taken to Narbik Hospital in Kathmandu for treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
The police have apprehended Pandit and seven others, including his mother Saraswati, in connection with the incident. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, as informed by the police. As a result of the incident, locals have shut down the Galchi-Trishuli Road section since Wednesday night.”
